The Date

Due to high demand I have decided to write about a date I went on recently.  A couple of weeks ago I had decided to put my dating life, or lack of, into my own hands.  I downloaded a dating app.  After only being on the app for a day, a guy messaged me and we began texting via the app.  After a couple of days he wanted to meet me.  He asked if I wanted to go to dinner and then watch a movie or go hot tubing.  I countered with just meeting up for froyo.  I did not want to go eat dinner with someone I don't even know, at least with froyo it is easier to leave.  He agreed, but insisted that we watch a movie afterward.

On the day of the date, we met him at a frozen yogurt place.  He seemed really nice and it wasn't too awkward.  I still didn't really feel like watching a movie and decided that if we were, it was going to be at my apartment.  After froyo we decided to watch "The Dark Night Rises" at my place.

I guess he expected to do more than just watch a movie.  I was not interested.  I had only just met him two hours ago and didn't feel comfortable with just making out with someone I don't really know.  Let's just say it was a long movie (seriously though "The Dark Knight Rises" is 2 hours and 45 minute long).  When the movie finally ended I was like "oh I have class tomorrow morning, thanks for coming over". I walked him to the door, gave him a hug and then shut the door. After that I  ignored his texts.

Moral of the story, when a boy says he wants to watch a movie with you, he does not want to watch a movie.
