The Cheesecake Fiasco

Image
Today I will tell the tale of Cheesecake. While I was serving as a missionary, my companion (missionary partner) and I got roped into helping make and deliver mini cheesecakes to the congregation we were serving in. We baked the cheesecakes on a Sunday and throughout the week we got really busy and ended up not being able to deliver the cheesecakes until Friday. Well I guess cheesecakes are very perishable if you don't refrigerate it...and after delivering cheesecakes to all the members we started to get panicked texts from the members with pictures of moldy cheesecakes...So yeah my companion and I gave the members in our congregation moldy cheesecakes. Moral of the story don't make cheesecakes for a large group of people and also always refrigerate your cheesecake!! I guess I don't have my crap together.... Me making the cheesecakes. Sorry it's cropped weird, I cut my companion out of the picture.

My Top 5 Disneyland Tips

My Top 5 Disneyland Tips Disneyland is the happiest place on earth but it can also be the hardest place to navigate! I have grown up going to Disneyland and at one point I was going to Disneyland once a week. Here are my top 5 tips on how to better navigate the park! 1) Get to the Parks an hour before opening The mornings at Disneyland usually the least crowded time of the day. I like to be in the park early and try to be parked and walking in an hour before opening. I usually try to ride the attractions that usually have long wait times such as Space Mountain or Peter Pan. Also if you are staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels you get magic mornings which is also a great time to ride the more popular attractions. (Sorry this pic is really blurry, but this trip I had gotten to Space Mountain first and it was walk on!!) 2) Bring Snacks My favorite part about going to Disneyland is EATING. I love getting a churro or a dole whip, but when I buy a bunch of snack it starts to ...

February 2020 Disneyland trip Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Image
This past February I had the opportunity to visit Disneyland. This was the first time since August of 2018. I got to see the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and ride the attractions "Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run" and "Rise of the Resistance". The Millennium Falcon attraction was enjoyable. In the attraction the riders will each receive a job that they need to preform. Then throughout the ride they are given directions on when to fulfill their job by pressing buttons. I was lucky and got to be one of the pilots so I was facing the cockpit window and could see what was happening the whole time. The other jobs such as gunners are not so lucky because they have to stand in the back of the cockpit pressing a button. All in all the ride was really fun and I will ride it again when I return if the wait time isn't too long.  I hadn't researched anything about "Rise of the Resistance" before my trip. I went in not knowing what to exp...

The Return of a Wannabe Blogger

Well it has been two years since my last blog post. Eighteen of the twenty-six months of my silence, I was actually serving a mission for my church in Houston, Texas. It was a great experience and I got to meet so many wonderful people, I also got to learn Spanish!! Due to Covid 19 and quarantine I have decided to dust off my laptop and try this whole blog thing again. I plan to write more in the near future. Until then adios and get your crap together;) Becca B. Photo from my February 2020 Disneyland trip

Disneyland

Went to Disneyland a couple of weeks ago. Like all trips to Disney, it was great. I did experience some new things. I got to meet Thor and Loki. I also tried the Hungry Bear Fantasmic Dinning package. Meeting Thor and Loki was probably the highlight of my trip. Will be honest, I'm not sunburned in the pictures, I'm blushing. I am so awkward that meeting two "Gods" freaked me out. They were great and was probably the best face character interaction I have ever had. I recommend doing the Fantasmic Dining packages. It takes a lot of stress out of trying to see the greatest show of all times, well kind of Fantasmic 2.0 is not as good as the original. If you have read my past posts then you know my feelings of the redone Fantasmic. I was also able to get the spirit jersey sweatshirt and I am in love with it. Out of ten this trip was an eleven.

The Swan Scarf

Image
My most recent sewing project was a scarf. Instead of making a long rectangular scarf, I made a square one. I struggled with finding fabric for this project. I settled for a navy blue with swans. I know this sounds really odd, but it kind of grows on you. This scarf was a gift for my mom.
